Did You Really LOL? I know you typed It, But Did You?

Rants & Raves, Funnies 4 Comments »

How many times have you been in a conversation and typed “lol” or “lmao” and you actually laughed out loud or laughed your ass off, honestly. Well, today I was having a a conversation with Zak and it went like this:

Zaki: The original title for Alien vs. Predator was Alien and Predator vs Chuck Norris. The film was canceled shortly after going into preproduction. No one would pay nine dollars to see a movie fourteen seconds long.
Me: lmao
Me: chuck norris facts rule
Zaki: haha totally
Me: isn’t funny how I typed, lmao - yet I didnt laugh at all
Zaki:lol

Now, Zak knows I didn’t laugh my ass off because he’s in the next room and would have surely heard me laugh to the point of my ass falling off. He, on the other hand did laugh out loud to my observation of that fact, which led to this post.

So, how many of you are really “laughing out loud” and how many of you are just simply typing it out giving false hope to those who think they’re funny. Same thing with the “haha” that most of us use. Check out this funny chart to see what it means when you put: “ha” or “hahah” or even “hahahaha”.

the haha meter

It also reminds me of the episode of Scrubs where J.D. is dating Mandy Moore’s character that always says “that’s funny”, but NEVER laughs. Guess we’ll just have to assume we’re funny people, making them LOL all the time.
