About
The Mayhem of Mayhem and Chaos Productions
Most people ask me where I got the name of my company, Mayhem & Chaos Productions. I came up with the name back in 2003 while working with my cousin Josh Jimenez at The Art Institute of Houston. See, back when Josh and I were little web lads, our family would refer to us as, you guessed it, “Mayhem and Chaos”.
We got the endearing nicknames because when we got together, we obviously ran a muck and we were often mischievous. Who wasn’t? So that name stuck with me and I decided when I would start my own freelance company, I would call it Mayhem & Chaos Productions.
Since we graduated, Josh and I have collaborated on some projects and we help each other out with web related topics, discuss movies and music, all the good stuff family does.
Back in 2005, Josh and I were working at ChangeLinks, Inc. There I met my mentor Bruce Gemberling. At that point I was still developing websites using tables and not so high-end design. Bruce opened up my eyes to the wonderful world of CSS and table-less web development. Since then, my web design days have not been the same. I’ve come along way since then and my design and development skills have grown.
I am currently working as a web designer/developer at an internet marketing company in Houston, Tx; Pop Labs. And what a great place to work too. Fun atmosphere and Friday Happy Hour!
I started the blog, officially, on Sept. 11, 2007. The reason I say “officially” is because I had some issues installing WordPress. I won’t go into all that, but let’s just say it really was a 5 minute install and a few days of making it work - either way my blog is up none-the-less.
In the coming days, weeks, months - sorry, I ramble - I’ll be updating the blog with articles I like, movie reviews and yes even taboo subjects like politics and religion 0_o. I hope you enjoy!
