Wow, I’m really at a loss for words right now. Tonight was the awards banquet for the AIR Houston Competition. You might remember a previous post about the competition.
Side Note: The University of Houston has the worst parking ever! And it’s all paid parking (unless you want a ticket - which we did not receive, thankfully).
We had a really nice dinner at the Hilton at UH followed by some scrumptious apple pie. The board members gave out gift certificates to various places like Starbucks, Best Buy and iTunes (pay for music?). Each time the called out a number, mine was 2 off, 4 off, 10 off and then my co-worker, who was right behind me in getting our raffle tickets, won!
Finally they got to what we’d all been waiting for, the awards. They announced 3rd place and the MC mispronounced the name to what sounded like TopSpot, but it wasn’t. Then my hearted started beating a little harder and faster. Then he called second place, TopSpot IMS!! We did it! We placed and this was our 1st year in the competition. I think we were all a little frozen at first and then we made our way up to get our trophy.
Our manager, who came to support us, along with Ruth from Kids Meals were both on the verge of tears! I was so excited and had a smile from ear to ear. What a great feeling to be able to say that I’m apart of an Award-Winning web design team!
Next year we’re taking the whole thing!
Update: Here is a press release from TopSpot IMS regarding the award.

@Brandi - thanks for comment and I HAD it on my nightstand that night, but now it sits on the CPU in the corner of our office. That is, until we get a nice lighting set up and trophy case
